Jane A. Burnham, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Burnham is a board certified neurologist. She grew up in the Detroit area and
attended the University of Michigan (Go Blue!)
as an undergraduate, where she double-majored
in physiology and neurobiology. She then
attended graduate school and earned a Ph.D. in
physiology and biophysics from the University of
Washington, Seattle. Afterward, she attended
Medical School at the University of Washington.
From there she traveled back to the Midwest,
where she became a Neurology Resident at
Barnes Hospital at Washington University, St.
Louis. She completed her residency training in
1989.
She then moved to Denver, where she has
remained since. She has been in private practice
in Denver since 1989. Initially, Dr. Burnham was
in practice with Dr. Richard Finkel and Dr. Paul
Levisohn. She then joined the Rocky Mountain
Multiple Sclerosis Center where she was
Director of Neurology for two years. During
that time, Dr. Burnham was actively involved in
the research of MS. She has published her
research on the effects of steroids on gadolinium
enhancement on the MRI scans of Multiple
Sclerosis patients.
Since May 1993, Dr. Burnham has been in her
own solo general neurology practice. Her focus
has been general neurology with a subspecialty
interest in Multiple Sclerosis.
For the past 17 years, Dr. Burnham has been a
Neurologist in Denver. She has practiced in the
south part of town, close to Swedish Medical
Center and is affiliated with the Colorado
Neurological Institute.
